For nine years, problems like that had found their way to her before almost anyone else.

She scrolled quickly.

Operations had pulled in engineering.

Engineering had found the fault.

Customer success had called the client.

Her COO had made the decision she would probably have made.

By 1:26, it was over.

There was even a short note:

Resolved. Full incident review tomorrow. No action needed from you.

She read the thread again.

Nobody had called.

Nobody had asked.

Nobody had waited.

This was what she had spent years trying to build.

A company that didn't require her for everything.

She opened the reply box.

Typed:

Looked at it.
