If the company were failing, she would know what to do.
Cut costs. Find customers. Change the product. Fight.
But the company wasn't failing.
The team was busy. Customers were renewing. There was money in the bank.
Her operations lead had sent her three sensible proposals for the next quarter.
She could see the logic in all three.
She didn't want to do any of them.
For the last six months she had wondered whether she was tired.
So she took a holiday.
She came back rested.
And still didn't want to do them.
Maybe she had lost her ambition.
Maybe she needed a bigger goal.
Maybe this was what happened when founders got comfortable.
Maybe she should sell.
Maybe she would regret selling.
At 2:53, Slack pinged.
“Which option should we proceed with?”
She knew she could choose one.
She didn't know why she should.
